How do I register for the SASE National Convention?

For discounts on the chapter level, it is based on a tier list for as low as $123 USD per person!
MAJOR DISCOUNT - Collegiate Conference tickets are $20 off for the first 1,000 registrants.
When is the deadline to register for the convention?

Late tickets are available before October 11th 2023
Do I have to register individually, or can my chapter register a whole group?
COLLEGIATE
Collegiate Chapters have the option to register as a group with one of the group packages available through the registration site. Discounts may be available for large groups.
How can I get a National Convention T-shirt?
You need to pre-order a T-shirt through the online registration system. You can always go back to registration and buy a T-shirt as long as it is before September 18th.
What is the refund policy?
COLLEGIATE
The SASE Conference and Convention Cancellation and Refund Policy will be as follows for the SASE Collegiate Conference & STEM Career Fair: NO CREDIT CARD PROCESSING FEES ARE REFUNDABLE.
Registrations canceled on-line on or before September 29th are refundable but subject to a $25 administrative fee. Registrants canceling on or after September 30th will not receive a refund. The refund and cancellation policy will not be waived.
Registration fees may be transferred to another individual; a written request must be sent to convention@saseconnect.org prior to 5 days of the start of the conference. The request must be from the registrant and contain the full name, email and phone number of the person to whom the registration is to be transferred. Requests received after this time cannot be completed.
In the event SASE must cancel the conference due to unforeseen circumstances, SASE will refund the original ticket price. The refund and cancellation policy will not be waived. SASE does not assume responsibility for any additional costs, charges, or expenses; to include, charges made for travel and lodging.
Unforeseen Circumstances Defined for Refund and Cancellation Policies
Unforeseen circumstances is used to describe an event that is unexpected and prevents SASE from continuing with a conference, convention, training, or webinar. Examples of such circumstances can include, but are not limited to inclement weather or other natural disasters, site unavailability, technology challenges, presenter absence or on guidance of a health/safety organization.
I am having trouble registering or have questions. Who should I contact?
Please email convention@saseconnect.org and include a detailed description of the problem and any relevant screenshots.
Refunds for additional purchases and/or tours are subject to the cancelation and refund policies of the 3rd party vendors/businesses. If a registration code has been used for a canceled registration, the organization or company distributing the code will be credited with an additional use. A monetary refund will not be issued for registrations paid using a code.
CHAPTER PACK
For Chapters, tickets cannot be refunded on a chapter level, but the tickets can be transferred to another individual. Requests must be sent to convention@saseconnect.org 5 days before the start of the conference.

How do I check in on the day of the Convention?
All attendees can use a photo ID to pick up their badge at registration. The hours for the Registration are available on the conference app. Attendees will be able to pick up their badges at GWCC (Georgia World Congress Center).
Is there a dress code?
Convention is a professional workshop and networking event. Business professional attire is highly recommended.
Are there designated areas where I can take a moment to relax during the conference?
There are many resting areas including but not limited to:
A beautiful outdoor space located on the 4th floor
A large indoor atrium with some seating areas in the main section of the GWCC
The Omni lobby which has a seating area
If you stay with the Omni, you are also able to access your hotel room within minutes from the Convention Center which makes the Omni a great and convenient stay.
Does the hotel and/or conference center have free WiFi?
If you are a member of the Omni Loyalty program and have room there, there is free in-room wifi. There is also wifi in the common space of the GWCC
Where and how do I pick up my badge?
The Convention Registration Desk is located in the GWCC on Level 4. You can access a walkway from the North Tower of the Omni Hotel on Level M2.
You will need your photo ID along with your smiling face.
How can we register for sessions during the Conference?
Through the mobile app (that we will publish before the conference), you will be able to register for specific sessions to your own liking.
Are there any activities that need waivers?
While there is not a waiver needed for the convention, there may be waivers associated with tours.
Where can I park?
The Georgia World Congress Center has event parking available. You can reserve parking here: https://gwcc.parkingguide.com/
HOTEL & TRANSPORTATION
How do I get to the hotel from the airport?
While hotel shuttles are not available, the MARTA is a very affordable option. It is about $2.50 from the airport to the hotel. We do not recommend using the MARTA if you are traveling alone or late at night. Take the train from the airport to the Five Points Station. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the station. You can refer to the MARTA website for exact directions.
RideShares are also available, but be mindful of surge and other charges before booking your fare. You might also want to check out taxi rates as they are more protected from additional fees (but not completely).
How much is parking at the hotel?
Omni hotel only offers valet parking. Valet parking is a flat overnight fee of $55 for regular size vehicles and $60 for full size vehicles (ex. SUVs, trucks, etc.). There are also other public parking garages nearby.
Why should I join the Omni Loyalty Program?
The Omni Loyalty Program is a free service that provides access to perks such as complimentary in-room wifi, a daily beverage and express checkout. All you need is an email and phone number to sign up and the account can be used at any Omni location. You can learn more and sign up here.
Why should I stay at the Omni Hotel?
There are many reasons to stay at the Omni Hotel including but not limited to:
The hotel is attached to the Georgia World Congress Center.
The loyalty program provides benefits.
The location is across from Olympic park with restaurants and attractions all within walking distance.
Is there a student rate offered by Omni hotel?
Yes. There are a limited number of student rooms available. Click on “Book Your Room” through the Convention Website. The student rate is $169 (plus taxes and fees).

Can I volunteer at the National Convention?
Yes. Signup for volunteers opens on July 17th! Please sign up using the link below!
HEALTH & SAFETY
Are there health protocols?
Health protocols will not be finalized within 4 weeks of the convention to ensure that SASE is following the most current recommendations possible.

Can I transfer a badge?

Can I take photos or video?
Yes, unless a presenter has posted that photos and/or videos are prohibited.
Do you have any accommodations for those with mobility impairments?
The building is ADA friendly.
I've moved since purchasing my badge. Will that affect my registration?
No.

SASEhack is a fun, open-to-all event that invites students to collaborate on designing solutions to real-world challenges! Participants learn new skills, connect with experts, apply new technologies, and face challenges. Compete for cash prizes.
Do I need experience to join SASEhack?
No! As with all Hackathons, SASEhack doesn’t require prior experience before attending. We welcome all experience levels, as long as the participants gain something out of it.
